Workshop - Maternity passport
The maternity record is an important document for pregnant women that is kept during pregnancy. It contains important medical information about the course of the pregnancy and the health of the mother and the unborn child.
In Germany, for example, the maternity record is kept by doctors or midwives and documents regular examinations, blood test results, ultrasound examinations and information about the birth process and possible risks. This information helps medical professionals to monitor the pregnancy and, if necessary, take timely action to ensure the health of mother and child.
The maternity record also serves as a personal document for the pregnant woman and accompanies her throughout her pregnancy. It provides a practical overview of the course and development of the pregnancy and can quickly provide important information in an emergency.
In this workshop, I will explain the structure and the important abbreviations of this document in a simple and understandable way so that not only the specialist staff understand the content of the maternity pass.
